This United Nations Environment Programme spot is beautifully shot, with a seemingly straightforward message, but the montage style reduces its memorability.

  • Quick cuts of industrial exhaust, a fire burns from an oil and gas stack, smoke belches from a stack, logs are pulled on the back of a trailer

  • Imagery of bicycle pedals; close ups of various womens’ faces

What fails to engage?

  • Imagery of garbage floating in the water, a young girl runs her fingers across the trunk of a tree, a shot of a waterfall from above
